Mud Bug Safety
To experience the Mud Bug 4WD course you need a full drivers license.
The Mud Bugs are engineer certified and OSH regulated via Permit 140.
Mud Bug - the YES rules:
YES: all safety equipment must be worn
YES: you must wear the safety harness
YES: sturdy footwear must be worn
YES: you must stay on the marked track
YES: we need to know about any medical problems or allergies
YES: you must sign the indemnity form before operating a Mud Bug
YES: use first gear when instructed
Jet boating safety
Spring Loaded Fun Park is a licensed commercial jet boat operation.
The jet boat guides have completed a minimum of 100 hours of training and Maritime New Zealand completes annual safety checks.
Spring Loaded Fun Park provides life jackets to all passengers. These are a safety precaution and wearing a life jacket is compulsory.
Departures are in all weather, but are subject to driver discretion - wet weather apparel is provided. Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and children 3 years and under are not permitted on the jet boats.
